The Story Behind
We know scrubs have been around for generations. During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019, we have been making PPE for frontliners, medical doctors and all types of organization that requires. In doing so, our team of designers have also noticed that many professional workers such as doctors, dentists, nurses are wearing scrubs which are poorly design in terms of material and cutting.
Noticing this, we embarked on a journey to make scrubs attractive and practical again. Using our know-how in the garment making industry, we tested many types of fabric material which can hold a person’s body shape well, have that unique cut and feel comfortable for the users all day long.
The fabric chosen must also be a quick dry material, keeps the wearer cool and comes in attractive bold colours to suit the new generations today. We’ve also design the scrubs to follow the body shape for the ladies and a neater cut for the mens/unisex.
The name PATMED was given as this represents our factory name Prudential Ampri Thailand (PAT), combined with the word MEDical.
Technology Used
Our current line of PATMED scrubs are made from authentic COOLMAX™ fabric which are well known worldwide as one of the best comfort fabric in making garments. COOLMAX™ keeps your body cool even in hot & humid tropical weather by wicking moisture directly from your skin and evaporates it faster than conventional material.
This is made possible as COOLMAX™ utilizes a unique hexachannel fiber design which has a larger surface material in order to absorb moisture and evaporate it out faster thru its widely connected fibers.
